How to authenticate your proxy requests

1 min read Updated Jul 15, 2026

Every proxy request needs to prove it belongs to your account. Here's how that works.

Username and password (default)

Each batch you generate in Generate proxies comes with a unique username and password baked in. The username encodes your account, the location you picked, and the session — so you don't need to configure those separately anywhere else. Pass them as standard HTTP proxy credentials, either inline in the proxy URL (user:pass@host:port) or through your tool's dedicated proxy-auth fields.

If authentication keeps failing

  • Double-check for accidental whitespace when copying credentials
  • Confirm the port matches the batch you generated — ports aren't interchangeable across sessions
  • Make sure your balance isn't at zero — a depleted balance can present as an auth failure
  • Generate a fresh batch if the old one has expired or was regenerated

See Fixing 407 and authentication failures for a deeper troubleshooting checklist.
