Rotating your credentials safely

1 min read Updated Jul 18, 2026

Rotating your login credentials periodically — or immediately after any suspected exposure — is good hygiene. Here's how to do it without breaking anything.

Changing your password

From Settings, enter your current password once and your new password twice. This only affects how you sign in — it does not change or invalidate any proxy credentials generated from Generate proxies, so nothing running in production needs to be touched.

Changing your email

Email changes require verification on both ends: a code is sent to your current address and a code is sent to the new one, and both must be entered correctly before the change applies. This prevents someone who has only gained access to your new inbox — or only your old one — from redirecting your account on their own.

Proxy credentials are separate on purpose

Your account password and your proxy username/password pairs are intentionally decoupled. That means you can rotate your account password as often as you like without regenerating and redeploying proxy credentials across every script or server that uses them.
